Who We Are
Founded by missionary statesman Dr. Lester Sumrall (1913–1996) in 1987 to respond to God’s challenge, “That my church in the third world does not die of hunger before I return.”
Feed The Hungry has delivered more than $400 million of food and supplies to hungry, hurting people in 92 nations around the globe.
We also respond with emergency food and relief during disasters like the Ukraine War, Karamoja Famine, and COVID-19 crisis.

Through financial and prayer support like yours, we deliver food and supplies using a pastor-to-pastor, church-to-church strategy.

Before distributing food, we secure guarantees from government agencies, giving us the right to distribute food directly through local churches who know the people—and the need—in their communities.
